Hello all! My name is Debby Oluwole and I have the opportunity to go to Malawi this summer on a Christ Presbyterian Academy mission trip through a nonprofit ministry called Friends of Adziwa. I will be traveling to Malawi with a wonderful group of both students and leaders where we will be partnering with Capital City Baptist Church and their Adziwa Christian School initiative to meet the needs of families who took in and now care for orphans. We will serve through a program that impacts hundreds of children and their families by providing for their spiritual, educational, emotional, and physical needs. A weeklong camp and other service projects await us!

I feel so called to this mission because the first time I was able to go to Malawi with my school the Lord opened my eyes to what it really meant to be a believer in the world we live in. I realized that part of being a Christian is to lift others up and point them to Christ. 

Over the recent time, though, I have realized that the journey to be God’s people doesn’t stop there; we are then called to together faithfully move forwards in the race we are running in order to receive the crown that awaits us in heaven. I believe that this trip is going to be one that illustrates exactly that—God’s people encouraging each other and braving life together with the destination set for heaven.
